I KNOW. I should've posted the introductory post for my new friends since ages ago and I don't really want to make excuses, but. THESIS. BLOODY STINKING THESIS. ;____;
To spare you from rantsabout how our thesis defense sucked, instead:
ANYWAY. Random, but basic, things you may want to know about me:
1) Call me Jaden/Jessie. Take your pick. My real name is the latter (actually, it's just Jess, but people who are close to me call me Jessie :D).
2) I've been a fan of Arashi for more than two years now. It's their Utaban appearance in February 2008 that baited me in completely, believe it or not. But of course, it's Kimi wa Petto that got me interested in watching Utaban in the first place. Momo! :3 ♥
3) My ichiban is no other than Mr. Smug himself, Ninomiya Kazunari. If you're opting to hear the whole story, here goes. XD Being Junbait, of course I only looked at Jun, even when I'd been exposed to Arashi (like the JE countdown, for instance), especially during that Utaban episode. Then Aiba started to get my attention... on the same episode. |D I've always loved funny guys, so it's no surprise that Aiba was my first favorite. Watched a lot of AnS and MMA. Then, YTM came. That time I became confused of my niban, between Nino and Sho. But I couldn't bring myself to say that Aiba was my ichiban. Finally, a song called Gimmick Game arrived. Then I declared Nino as my ichiban. I guess in the end, it's the snarky, witty, funny, musical genius that had stolen my heart and never dared to return it. *____*
Bonus: I don't have a permanent niban, but if I mention Sho a lot, don't be surprised. |D
...whew. That's a lot. Sorry, sometimes I just have the tendency to ramble. XD That's
jadenmd for you. :P
In news about RL:
OMG. I think I just convinced my parents to go to Japan in October. On my birthday. *___*
But I've a lot of dilemmas, like
(1) I don't know where to go: Osaka or Tokyo? If we go to Tokyo, we've already been there before and while I'm perfectly aware that we haven't sweeped the entire city yet, it's always nice to go to a different place. Osaka, it is, most probably.
(2) When we will be going. On the week of my birthday (October 8) or late October? The problem here is that there will be a huge celebration in November 1 for my grandmother. D: My parents already allowed me to go to Osaka on the 29th, but the dilemma below this remains.
So you can see the problem now. Which leads me to my third dilemma:
(3) To watch a concert in Fukuoka (since
ant_power will) or in Osaka. The bigger problem lies with of course, not being a part of the FC in the first place and of course, not having someone to go with. New problem: How to get tickets for Osaka Kyosera Dome con on the 29th.
*sighs* Problems of a fangirl, lol.
HALP. If you girls know where I can get tickets (just so I know whether it's actually possible or not haha ^^;;), please let me know right away. My mom and dad are already bugging me to make a decision ASAP. orz
In other news, this will be the last week of regular school for me, and while I know it'll be super hectic, after this will be a breath of fresh air. WISH ME LUCK, LOVES. ♥

Date: 2010-08-21 07:33 pm (UTC)In your list of new friends there is a girl with a story similar to yours...
As for your trip... Tokyo to me, you can reach Osaka by train (I suggest you the JR pass in order to save money... Japaneses trains are expensive).
Regarding the con, if you don't have a ticket, you can't attend the con with your friend (since your place will be assigned, you can't choose it by yourself).
You can try to get one at www.ticket.co.jp (of course the price is higher that the FC one... mooooooooooore higher) or go there and try your luck on the day of the con.

Oh wow, is your birthday on October 8? If it is, we have the same birthday! XD Good luck with that Japan trip! :D

Date: 2010-08-22 05:45 am (UTC)I first liked matsujun 'coz of gokusen but I wasn't a fan of arashi at that time...yet Last year, I "accidentally" saw nino's perf of niji and after that, I started to become an arashi fan and I started to like nino. Then last april, I suddenly missed HYD so i decided to rewatch it again and there...matsujun came back as my fave...and now, matsujun and nino are tied as my faves in arashi xDDDD
Goodluck in school ^_^

Date: 2010-08-22 11:50 am (UTC)...wait, which new friend? LOL.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm currently looking for options, since I have heard ticket.co.jp has really high prices. Do you know about the one in Harujuku? Or even auction sites. I'm afraid to try the latter since I can't read Japanese. *sighs*

Date: 2010-08-22 11:55 am (UTC)Aww, at least you've had a fun summer vacation? I'm in the other side of the world, so. XD
YES OMG! We have the same birthday! That's so cool! :O And thanks dear, I'm hoping it will go well. This is more stressful than I thought. XD;;

Date: 2010-08-22 11:58 am (UTC)That's an interesting story. Haha lol, how come Gokusen does not really make you a fan of Arashi? The same thing happened to my best friend. (And would you believe, I never watched Gokusen when it was shown here locally XD) Anyway, I love how Nino's songs can easily bait you into liking him
even if he's such a mean brat :P. ♥ Another Matsumiya fan, I sense? :D?Thanks dear! ^___^ ♥

Date: 2010-08-22 12:20 pm (UTC)pinoy ka din di ba?Well, at that time, I was interested in OPM bands..so I didn't got into arashi.
Yup, I'm a matsujun and nino biased xD

the one in Harajuku is like auctions and ticket.co.jp in term of prices... expensive ._.

Date: 2010-08-23 02:40 am (UTC)Ahh, the ever familiar Jun-bait-but-then-found-new-ichiban story XD It's hard to resist the charm of the other 4 boys though so I sympathize. I guess I could never let go of my initial attraction to Jun?
That's awesome they're letting you go to Japan! As for tickets, unless you're a FC member, are you willing to spend at least ~$200 for a ticket? I heard the market prices for the tickets this year are even higher, like in the $500+ range ._.;
You can use Iori (http://www.jp-angama.com/) to help you bid in Yahoo JP auctions for tickets if you wanted to try that, I use him for my FC stuff, and he's quite reliable. Doesn't charge you like crazy like some other services too~
Plus there's those idol shops on Takeshita Doori that sell random tickets, but they charge a monstrous price. Last year when I was there during Nino's stageplay, tickets were around $1200 :|
Orrr, there's always the "hang around in front of the dome on the day of the concert and look for sketchy looking men" tactic. Of course, they overcharge like woah too.

YAY MATSUMIYAAAA ♥

Date: 2010-08-23 02:36 pm (UTC)As I told a friend above, switching to Nino doesn't mean Jun has been already down in the ranking for me. In fact, he often ends up as a niban, like Sho. :o
(Also, this Jun->Aiba->Nino transition is one of the main reasons why Jun/Aiba is my OTP, even though it doesn't involve my ichiban. XD ♥)
Gah, I've been checking out prices everywhere and nothing's cheaper than, say, ¥45,000. .___. It seems like the only option left for me is Yahoo JP auctions (if not the same auction site with

Date: 2010-08-24 04:04 pm (UTC)hmm, regarding tickets it's pretty hard if you're not in the fanclub, look online? people might be selling tickets on japan ebay or something. It's annoying how ridiculously difficult it is to get con tickets.

Date: 2010-08-24 04:48 pm (UTC)Osaka! ♥ I'm kinda biased since I'm from the Kansai area, but you'll love it there. Maybe you can even visit Kobe during your stay? My friend has gone to many JE concerts without joining the fanclub and she says she always gets tickets from Yahoo auctions. There are scammers though so if you choose that option be careful D:!

Date: 2010-08-26 03:17 am (UTC)Sweeet, if you ship Junba, we'll be friends forever XDD
Yeah, it's crazy how when Arashi weren't popular, they couldn't even fill seats in an arena. Now it's impossible to see them at Kokuritsu without paying over $400 at least orz I hope you can find tickets that are a little more reasonable!
I got lucky and won tickets for Nagoya dome through the ballot, but I'm not even sure if I can go ;_____;

Date: 2010-08-26 12:14 pm (UTC)Oh gosh, you're so lucky, that you'll be going to Japan in your bday. And is planning to watch a concert. NYAA. Hope you really could watch!! I envy you!~ but at the same I'm sooo happy. 8D
Forgot to tell this. XD I'm Mich. :) And I prefer Jessie. :) Bye Jessie... ♥

IKR? This is probably the hardest thing being an international fan. ;____;

Date: 2010-08-27 02:42 pm (UTC)Confession: I have no idea how popular Nino is, whether in Japan or in the international fandom. |D I always assume he's not, since you know, he's not really as likable as Ohno or Sho. Btw, I'm really weird so I spout out theories like this all the time. XDDD
And yes Gimmick Game does things to me, I swear. *shot* Nino knows his fans well, it seems. ;o;
Um, yeah, I've checked how ridiculous the ticket prices are~ T___T And I need to book a flight soon, and to book a flight, I need to have a ticket. Since I don't have one yet, I might need to move the trip to a later date or something. Nagoya is the next option. :/ I wish I could go to Osaka though!

Date: 2010-08-27 02:50 pm (UTC)I'm probably saying this out of bias but I'm happy that Nino is your niban 8D ♥
Haha, it's really harder than I originally thought but I do hope I get to watch them. Like no matter the struggle, the end result = concert. *o*
LOL, thanks. ♥ Hi Mich! |D

Date: 2010-08-27 02:57 pm (UTC)YAAAY ♥
I'm always biased to Jun/Aiba, and as much as I love my other OTP (*coughOhmiyacough*), there's just something about these two that I love sfm. ♥
Nagoya? Ooh...! I hope you can go! Because just now we're actually kind of considering to move the trip at a later date instead, since at this rate, it's a little impossible now. ^^;; We're thinking around December because I'm a little busy in-between October and November. I hope my chance in getting tickets becomes a bit higher. :o
